Age of Wonders 4: Pantheon
In AW4, your actions during game will be rewarded with Pantheon points. From this page of the guide you will learn what the Pantheon is, how to earn experience points, and what you can unlock with them.
Last update:
By spending Pantheon points, you will be able to unlock new cosmetic items as well as elements that directly affect gameplay. Below you will find information on how to earn and spend Pantheon points.
What is the Pantheon?
The Pantheon is a special place where your commanders go after completing the game. However, this does not mean that you won't be able to lead this character again. Ascended heroes may still appear in future games.
In addition, you can level up your Pantheon to unlock many new features and cosmetic items. You will do this with Pantheon XP, which you earn by performing various in-game actions and successfully completing the game.
How to get Pantheon experience points?

You'll receive Pantheon XP after fully completing a single game. The system will then check your achievements during the game and assign points for certain actions. These include:
- 500 XP - winning the map.
- 250 XP - losing, excluding surrender.
- 100 XP - defeating the opposing power. If there are multiple opposing empires during the game, the points will add up.
- 25 XP - destroyed Infestation.
- 25 XP - purified a Miracle.
- 10 XP - Free City joined.
- 10 XP - made a Free City your vassal.
- 10 XP - defeated an enemy hero.
- 10 XP - leveled up your hero.
Remember that points are received only after completing the map. They are only accumulated during the game. If you fail to complete the session, the accumulated XP will be gone.
Pantheon tree

Pantheon can be accessed from the main menu. You will find this option in the upper right corner of the screen. We show it in the picture above.

There you can check the ascended heroes (#1) and name your Pantheon (#2).

The Pantheon development tree can be found in the Progression tab. It is quite extensive and you will have the chance to unlock a lot of additional content available in subsequent games. They are:
- Cosmetic items for characters, armies and banners;
- new Realms;
- utility items for characters.
To gain access to individual items, you first need to unlock the previous ones, according to the paths in the research tree.
