Riddle types | Batman Arkham Knight Batman: AK Guide

Last update: 28 October 2019

On this page of our guide to Batman: Arkham Knight we have prepared a list of puzzles and their types that may help you in finding new secrets. The same types of puzzles have to be solved many times, but you can get different collectibles after completing them.

There are four puzzle types in Batman: Arkham Knight:

  • Riddler Trophies - to complete the puzzle, you need to find a trophy and gain access to it. Some of the trophies are free to access and you can collect them straight away, but in the majority of cases, you need to solve a puzzle first that assumes using certain gadgets, or winning a time trial. In total, there are 179 trophies in the game.
  • Riddles - They are identical with those in the previous games. After you have found the location, you need to stand in the correct position and turn on the evidence scanner. In total, there are 40 riddles in the game.
  • Breakable Objects - You need to find them and destroy them (on your own or with the batmobile). Note - In total, there are 90 breakable objects in the game, but there are only 18 Edward Nigma's riddles connected with them. This is so, because the number of completed puzzles changes with every fifth object that you break.
  • Bomb Rioters - Each time, you need to locate the rioter and stun him with the electromagnetic pulse. In total, you need to neutralize 6 people in this way.

Note - You can start solving some of the puzzles, virtually, from the very beginning of the game. Some of them remain inaccessible, at first. This may be a result of lack of access to a given location, or of the fact that Batman does not have a gadget yet. It is best to start your search only after you have completed the main storyline of the game.
