CS2 maps used in ranking modes and during tournament play are collected under the so-called Active Duty Pool. There are 7 maps in this group, constantly supervised, patched and balanced by the developers. Below you will find a list of all Active Duty maps that are currently in rotation, along with a brief description of each map.

Dust II

An iconic map known since the old CS 1.6 days. It features long, open sections near bombsite A and tighter corridors on the west side of B.

Nuke

The map is divided into an outer, open part and a tighter interior of the power plant building. Bombsite's are located here on two different levels, between which you can move in several ways (stairs, air ducts).

Inferno

Map located in a Mediterranean town. It is characterized by rather tight corridors full of twists, turns and nooks. It may take new players some time to properly learn the entire topography of Inferno.

Mirage

A map in a style reminiscent of Moroccan architecture. It provides a mix of tight, enclosed locations and open areas, perfect for snipers.

Train

Map located in the old train depot. The rather simple topography makes up for it with numerous obstacles blocking the view and the vertical arrangement of some of the rooms.

Overpass

The tunnels characteristic of this map create bottlenecks where skirmishes will often boil over. A map originally known from CS:GO.

Ancient

Location set in the ruins of an ancient city. The two bombsite here are located in the northwestern and eastern parts of the map, respectively.
