  3. Our score: None (Metacritic 94/100)

In 2002, another installment of the iconic Metroid series appeared on the Nintendo GameCube console – Metroid Prime. Instead of a traditional side-scrolling platformer, we got an FPP action game with metroidvania elements! We play a bounty hunter Samus Aran, who first goes to the Space Pirates frigate, and then to the planet Talon IV, chasing his archenemy – Meta Ridley. Shooting and solving environmental puzzles, we travel through the stages, often returning to different locations to unlock previously locked passages – a true, modern classic!

The remastered version of this title is currently the highest-rated game of 2023 on Metacritic so far, and the average score of the players turns out to be only slightly lower. If numbers aren't enough, quotes like "the best Switch game you can buy right now," or "a perfect example of how to handle a cult classic" say it all. Although it's not a remake made from scratch, but rather a remaster, the developers managed to improve important elements of the original, such as graphics and controls. Everything else was already perfect – and now it's even better!
