Octopath Traveler 2 is a sequel to the traditional jRPG from 2018. The action takes place in the steampunk universe of Solist and allows you to follow the separate stories of as many as eight heroes. The main goal of each of them is strongly related to the profession they represent. For example, the dancer Agnea wants to make a career on stage, the warrior Hikari wants to liberate his homeland from the tyrant brother, and the merchant Partitio wants to get rich. Their fates intertwine during the game, more so than in the previous installment.
Reviewers were delighted with the audiovisual setting, well-presented stories that arouse a lot of emotions, and one of the best turn-based combat systems. The game world feels alive, exploration is rewarding, and character development encourages you to experiment with builds. It's a solid jRPG and a solid sequel that's also very charming. Everyone, without exception, was in awe over the beautiful soundtrack that accompanies us while traversing Solist.
