October release highlights
October is a month full of high-profile games, but surprisingly, I'm not in a rush to check them out. This month I will be spending my sweet time with Hades 2 and World of Warcraft. After all, the Legion Remix event is starting, so I'm eager to return to what is said to be the best expansion in the history of this MMORPG. I might also take a look at Blue Protocol: Star Resonance. And what do other members of the editorial team plan to play in October?
Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection
Digital Eclipse has been doing a great job for some time now, releasing (highly) interactive documents related to the history of video games. I'm very happy that this time it's about Mortal Kombat and that we'll be getting the Legacy Kollection at the end of the month. You know how it is – playing games during computer class, showing off to your neighborhood buddies who's the boss (or not), memorizing those fatalities you scribbled down, eagerly waiting for the monthly Kombat Korner update, and all that jazz. Lots and lots of good memories. Fighting games have never really been my thing, and I've only played them casually. That's how I'm planning to approach this collection, too. This will also be a great opportunity to check out MK4, Special Forces, and a few other titles from the Dragon series that I have had little or no contact with. I'm also secretly hoping for a second collection, this time featuring the later games from the PS2–PS3 era, which you can't play on modern consoles.
