What's Sifu?
There was a network game called Absolver. It was distinguished by a specific style, heroes in masks, and martial arts. Unfortunately, the project was not successful, but the creators did not give up. They decided to release a similar production – Sifu, which also focuses on an extensive combat system. This time, however, it is a single-player game with an interesting gimmick – our hero grows old every time they're mortally wounded. We always get stronger, but there is an upper limit to how many times we can die. And then, we die. Permanently.
Is Sifu worth it?
The main crux of fun in Sifu is combat. As an adept of kung-fu, we will use various attacks, and often take advantage of elements of the environment. As we progress, we will learn new attacks that will significantly increase our battle prowess. Interestingly, the creators did not introduce difficulty levels, justifying their decision with the desire to motivate players – we have to learn from failures, rather than take the easy way.
