The Most Anticipated RPGs of 2020 - Not Only Cyberpunk 2077 and Vampire Bloodlines 2

It's time to make an overview of the most anticipated RPGs of 2020. This year will be filled with various types of role-playing titles. Anyway, we already know what you are waiting for.

Table of Contents

Cyberpunk 2077

  1. Genre: ultra-complex cyberpunk RPG with a breathtaking Keanu Reeves
  2. Release date: delayed to September 17, 2020
  3. Platforms: PC, PS4, XONE
  4. Developer: CD Projekt RED

You and I – we both knew what video game would be at the end of this list. One of the most anticipated video games of the last few years – Cyberpunk 2077. All players in the whole world, even people who don't intend to play it, are wondering how this game will look like. We already know that it's going to be breathtaking, because there will be a lot of Keanu Reeves in the main story. But even though we know a lot – we still wonder how all these factors will interact and mix altogether.

What ingredients will be included in this cybernetic mix? As a mercenary named V, we will wander the streets of a great dystopian city of the future. The developers have prepared an in-game world full of quests, independent characters, interesting dialogues and mysterious secrets. Our protagonist has to cope with everyday life in a gloomy and futuristic metropolis that is ran by street gangs, corporations, body augmentations and money. We will have to make difficult decisions, face emotional situations and experience a grim vision of the future.

CD Projekt RED is a studio that guarantees a solid story, as well as interesting mechanics of interaction with the characters, also during the fight – we will use various abilities and properties of our body-enhancing implants. Let's just hope that combat system and firearms will satisfy every gamer. Quite recently, game designers have announced that in a future update (which should be ready sometime after the official release of the game) we will even receive a multiplayer mode. The title will most probably contain a fair micro-transactions system (for now, developers are looking for an appropriate form of micro-payments, as Michal Kicinski has stated). It's a disturbing and difficult topic among the players, but on the other hand, CD Projekt RED has managed to be loyal and trustworthy towards the fans – so it will most probably remain that way. Even despite the fact that game was delayed to September 17, 2020, we still keep our fingers crossed!
