The Ratchet & Clank series made its debut on PlayStation 2 and has become one of the most popular franchises available for Sony's console. Originally, strongly focused on more platforming-like experience, it gradually evolved into a third-person shooter, full of unusual characters and environmental puzzles. Even back then, many years ago, the team responsible for this title became known as the one that designs the craziest weapons in video games.
The Ratchet & Clank installment which was released on PlayStation 4 was developed alongside the production of an animated movie about the adventures of our characters. As it often turns out, the game offered much higher level of quality than the movie. Despite the fact that there were dozens of remasters released on the current-gen platform, Insomniac Games treat their work much more seriously – they created a gorgeous remake, which only took the outline of the story and some of the tasks from the original. All other features were brand new content.
Will we see more parts of the series in the future? We would love that! This franchise has a lot of potential and an amazing developer. Sequels or even more remakes will definitely attract millions of fun-dependent fans. In addition, these games are great for children and family entertainment.
