The second expansion to Command & Conquer: Red Alert, a bestseller RTS developed by the Westwood Studios company. The new expansion pack, titled The Aftermath, offers eighteen unique singleplayer scenarios (nine for each of the factions), which, similarly to the previous expansion, have not been combined into a separate campaign. The fans of the multiplayer mode will once again receive one hundred brand new maps, C&C Red Alert – The Aftermath also introduces seven fresh unit types, which the players can freely construct during the skirmishes. The Allies have bolstered their ranks with the teleporting Chrono Tank, field mechanics, who can repair damaged units, and also with Phase transports, capable of unleashing powerful warheads. The Soviets have obtained more of Tesla’s inventions, including the Tesla Tank and Shock Infantry, as well as an upgraded submarine capable of attacking and destroying targets on the ground. Both sides of the conflict have access to the devastating force that are the MAD tanks.

Strategy, Polish, RTS, Singleplayer.
One of the first Polish real-time strategy games, developed by MDF studio under the lead of Miroslaw Dymka. We take the role of Mirko, the leader of a village belonging to the eponymous tribe of Polans, who returns after a war expedition only to find his home plundered and his subjects slaughtered. The young duke vows revenge on the hostile tribes responsible for the massacre. In terms of gameplay, Polanie draws heavily on the legendary WarCraft, though not without introducing some interesting innovations. Gameplay runs on both military and economy fields, with milk as the key resource produced by cows eating grass that gradually regrows. Structures are built by workers, who also fulfill a military role, however, as each warrior requires a separate living place, creating a bigger army is a difficult task. Gameplay is also diversified by the presence of priests, who can support us in battle by casting useful spells.

An RPG developed by Infogrames together with Gremlin Entertainment and published by Interplay. Soulbringer is set in a fantasy world called Rathenna which is at war with demonic forces. The player assumes the role of a young adventurer who is quickly embroiled in a dark scheme and becomes the only hope of saving the land. Soulbringer offers an interesting magic system based on playing rock-paper-scissors. The system is called Seculorum and consists of five elements — each being an effective counter for one of them and, in turn, being weak against another (e.g. water puts fire out, fire swallows air, etc.). The way these elements work forces us to specialize in one or two fields that will be mutually complementary and negate the rest. The player can also wield melee weapons and, with progress, unlock new attacks.
