Unlike many similar games, Block’hood focuses on ecology and constructing in harmony with the nature, using safe and renewable energy sources. Moreover, the player’s actions are limited to micro scale, restricting his construction site to a single estate. The titular blocks are the building materials - like a 3D jigsaw puzzle, each unit complements the whole structure. It is crucial for the player to learn the dependencies between particular blocks. One has to optimize their production, which is based on 20 different resources, as well as tend to the inhabitants’ needs - this means both humans and animals, who all live in a symbiotic relationship. Block’hood offers several game modes, such as the Story Mode, which introduces the players to the gameplay mechanics, Education mode that teaches players about modern technologies, the Challenge mode, and finally, the Sandbox mode, in which one can develop his structures with no limitations and practice his skills as a modern architect.

A shoot'em up game developed by the independent developer Space Lizard Studio. In the game, the player assumes control of young dragons tasked with fighting an army of hostile robots called Mechaliches, who were able to conquer the protagonists' home planet and kidnap their mother. During the game, the character constantly moves rightwards, eliminates hordes of enemies, and avoids the ever-present obstacles. Of course, one's protégés are not defenseless - they acquire new power-ups allowing them to use machine guns, laser weapons, and cannons. Moreover, as one progresses through the game, they acquire points giving access to various special abilities assigned separately to each weapon. Dragon Bros allows the player to enjoy both single and cooperative local multiplayer modes. Interestingly enough, completed stages of the game can be replayed, e.g. to achieve a higher score - moreover, one can test their skills by playing the game on a higher difficulty level. As the game has been inspired by the classic shoot’em up games, it delivers old-school pixel-art visuals and the dedicated soundtrack written by Gabriel Caruso, who in his works combines modern sound with chiptune music.

Zwei: The Ilvard Insurrection is an action RPG developed by Nihon Falcom and XSEED Games, initially released in 2008 in Japan and nine years later on western markets. The game takes place in a fantasy world where, as a result of the war between demons and humans (aided by dragons), magic is not as strong and present as it once was. Instead of magical portals, people use planes as means of intercontinental transportation. We play as a treasure hunter who was saved from death by a lamia and is forever bonded with her by a blood contract. As we play, we will spend most of our time on exploration and combat. Our protagonist uses cold steel weapons and his companion relies on combat spells. Zwei: The Ilvard Insurrection has a rather uncommon progression system - we use food to increase our characters' stats. The game is based on the Zwei II Plus version from 2009.

A cooperation-based action game set in a post-apocalyptic steampunk world. The players assume the roles of crew members aboard combat airships and fight for survival during air battles. The creators of the game, the American studio Muse Games, had planned to release Alliance as a DLC expansion for their previous game - Guns of Icarus: Online. Over time however, Alliance became a full-fledged game which adds to the concept of its PvP-focused predecessor through implementing PvE contents, including cooperation-based missions and seasonal faction wars. In the co-op missions, the players assemble into 4-member crews comprising representatives of 3 classes: the Pilot, the Gunner, and the Engineer; then they complete various objectives and battle the AI-controlled airships of the enemy. Completing a mission affects the power of the faction the crew represents. One's faction fights other parties for domination over the world. On the world map, the factions fight seasonal wars - those are divided into two stages: the struggle for control over resources, and the actual wars fought by factions linked together into alliances by the developers. Great events and special achievements of particular players can become part of the game's story, which is being written by the creators.

What makes the whole experience a bit more difficult is the permanent death system - each failure means that the player loses all of their possessions and has to start over. An unusual hybrid of a shoot'em up and an action RPG. The players are taken to a planet which was torn into pieces as a result of a global cataclysm. Those who survived the catastrophe had to conform to the harsh rule of megacorporations. In opposition to those, smaller and larger tribes emerged, whose members earn their living as mercenaries and smugglers. The protagonist is a smuggler himself, who pilots a combat ship while taking part in air battles, fighting armies belonging to the corporations, and trying to make it out alive. The game is played from a side view, and the experience is based on dynamic action, as the player constantly moves to the right and eliminates everything that stands in their way. The game was divided into randomly generated missions and the player fights different enemies while completing them. Among the adversaries, heavy cruisers are the toughest, because they serve the role of bosses here. To achieve victory, one has to maneuver their ship (it represents one of three classes) effectively, juggle different weapons, attacks and special moves skillfully, as well as to make a good use of the seventy active and passive abilities. Developed by RedLynx – creators of the Trials game series – this South Park game installment is based on a free-to-play business model and features some microtransactions. During the game, the players have to collect cards representing characters known from the TV series and use them in order to build decks. Cards can be played during real-time battles, resulting in new characters appearing on the map and advancing on the enemy forces. The gameplay comes down to battles between two factions fighting each other from opposing sides of the screen. The creators prepared a typical for this kind of video games multiplayer mode. At the same time, the game offers an extensive story campaign, which, compared to similar games, is an unusual thing. Like the animated TV series, the entire game features the atmosphere of absurd comedy – jokes are plentiful, while the script riffs almost everything and everyone. Also, the visuals are kept in the same style as in the TV series, which should not come off as a surprise – South Park: Phone Destroyer has been created in cooperation with Trey Parker and Matt Stone, the fathers of the original TV series.
