September 27, 2000

Strategy, Fantasy, Singleplayer, Turn-based.

Heroes Chronicles: Warriors of the Wastelands is the first game in the Heroes of Might and Magic spin-off miniseries, based on the mechanics from the fan favorite - the third game of the series. In Warriors of Wastelands we go centuries back in time and meet the game's protagonist, Tarnum the Barbarian. With more and more power in his hands, he strikes terror even into his allies. After being killed by Rion Gryphonheart, he is deemed unworthy and denied a place in Paradise. Instead, he is sent back as an immortal to redeem himself. In terms of gameplay, Warriors of the Wastelands is very much similar to the series' main games. However, Warriors offers only a rather short single player campaign, without the possibility to play individual scenarios. The game also has no multiplayer options.
