An unusual logic game that combines a turn-based RPG with elements of the popular board game Scrabble, developed by Bacon Bandit Games. In Letter Quest: Grimm’s Journey, we assume the role of two grim reapers called Grimm and Rose who have to face hordes of ghosts, monsters, and other evil spawn using only the power of… words. While playing, we traverse five varied lands and fight turn-based battles with enemies, which allows us to enhance our character and weapons as we progress in the game. Combat itself is quite unusual, since subsequent clashes involve forming words from a grand dictionary that consists of roughly 190 thousand English words. Damage dealt to an enemy depends on the amount of points scored for a given word. The effect can be further modified with the use of magical potions and items that we can buy for jewels obtained in the course of the game.

The player assumes the role of Freja - a hired female pilot whose ship crashes on the surface of an unknown planet. Although the protagonist dies, she gets revived by a cloning station which survived the crash. In order to escape the planet, Freja has to make her way through hordes of hostile alien life forms and find materials required to communicate with those capable of rescuing her. The player explores procedurally generated environments and shoots enemies. In-game death is permanent and forces the player to start over from the very beginning. What makes the job easier however, is the fact that the protagonist is able to gather DNA from her victims. Different DNA combinations can be created before the next attempt - those give access to useful mutations.

The ticking clock and the fact that each bomb is generated randomly make the title even more difficult. The person tasked with defusing has to supply the other players with detailed information which will enable them to identify the type of the bomb they are currently dealing with. Due to the nature of Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes, you will need only one copy of the game and the bomb defusal manual, which can be found at http://www.bombmanual.com/, to play with friends. Other noteworthy features include the possibility of conducting clinical tests (and to falsify their results) and manually setting the prices of medicines as well as an expanded list of equipment that we can buy for our factories. A space simulator which offers the players an opportunity to participate in huge battles involving hundreds of players and stretching across entire planetary system. Three powerful factions compete against one another in the war-ridden world of Infinity: Battlescape. Each of the factions has a network of space stations and defensive systems, as well as fleets comprised of combat ships. The ships come in various types, such as fighters, bombers, corvettes, huge cruisers or carriers - all of them can be controlled by the players. The goal of each party involved in the conflict is to destroy enemy forces and infrastructure. However, because the fighting takes place both in outer space and within atmospheres of different planets, achieving the ultimate victory is quite time-consuming. The game offers realistic flight physics, as the game takes such factors into account as density of atmosphere or gravitational phenomena. As an addition to the multiplayer experience, the creators included a single player sandbox mode. Infinity: Battlescape utilizes the in-house I-Novae Engine, which made it possible to create an enormous, open and procedurally-generated universe.

An unusual production by Pawel Mogila from Mogila Games. The title features elements characteristic for logic, action, platform, and even stealth games. You assume the role of Samson who, as the title outright states, is clinically dead. This means that for him, the time has stopped – due to that, he can contemplate his whole life. This translates into traveling through surreal places, which symbolize the hero’s mind, and talking with his own subconsciousness. In Clinically Dead, the action is presented from the first-person perspective. Logic puzzles are the backbone of the game – you need to manipulate time, represented by multi-colored stains on the environment elements. Your job is to maneuver these objects so that they adjust correctly at the right moment, which unlocks another location. Moreover, the hero also jumps on the platforms, faces opponents (using melee weapons or magic bullets), or sneaks behind their backs. This is a non-linear title featuring locations connected by multiple paths.

An action-puzzle game inspired by the annual “Earth Hour” event organized by WWF foundation. The game was developed by the Russian studio Brainy. It shows how much the modern world depends on electricity. When an accident in the power plant causes the whole city to run out of electricity, the player assumes the role of the last “living” spark and is tasked with restoring the power and allowing the inhabitants of the city to function normally. The gameplay mechanics in TurnOn are similar as in typical platformer games. The difference lies in the fact that instead between the platforms, the player must jump between electric wires. By jumping from one wire to another, the player tries to restore the power to houses, shops, and various electric devices. The devices are connected to each other with a tightly tangled network of connections. Because of that, in addition to having high agility, the game also forces the player to think. The game contains bonus levels as well. During them the player must move through the electric wires according to the tune of the background music.

The biggest novelty is the introduction of sailors who influence our fleets’ strength and are necessary to build and repair our ships. Moreover, the expansion adds a completely new system that makes directing our fleets easier while they perform various tasks and patrol duties. Now, we can also hire mercenaries, the so-called condottieri, who take part in foreign wars, and found trade leagues that give us unique military and economic bonuses. The game is a continuation to a challenging, though not very complex logic title developed by the independent studio 2SD. The player's goal is to lead an adequate amount of liquid to a test-tube, which is usually located in a place difficult to access. Platforms and walls the player draws are often insufficient to pour the liquid into the tube. In order to effectively complete this apparently simple task, the player needs to take advantage of interactive objects located on the map, such as spinning circles, gusts of wind or portals. At first glance, they seem to be no more than obstacles, but using them with creativity makes it easier for the player to achieve their goal. Over the course of 27 maps, the player will encounter other mechanics as well - for instance, liquids with different colors have to be mixed - such conditions diversify the experience and make it more challenging. The gameplay is complemented by a well-designed level editor.

A card game with turn-based strategy elements that uses free-to-play distribution model with microtransactions. Faeria invites the players into an old fantasy world, home to humans as well as other intelligent species. The game puts emphasis on the lore and contains much additional information about the fictional universe. As for the gameplay, Faeria represents an unorthodox approach to the card game genre. Duels between two players are the foundation of the game. The fights are waged by using cards drawn from users’ personal decks. The warriors must also gather resources and use them in the duels. The cards represent heroes, effects and spells, but they cannot be played freely. Instead they have to be used on special, hexagon fields. Empty at first, the map becomes filled with hexes due to the player’s actions, and various terrain types affect the behavior of units and spells. Another innovation in the game is the necessity for characters to find themselves on adjacent fields in order to start the battle. It is worth adding that Faeria also allows the owners of various gaming platforms to face each other.

A casual HOPA game developed by Organic 2 Digital Studio. Vampire Legends: The True Story of Kisilova takes us to 18th century Europe, fifty years after a terrible plague decimated Habsburg lands. A small city, Kisilova, observes a series of mysterious deaths, which seem to foreshadow the return of the plague. In order to prevent a widespread panic from ensuing, the Prince of Wittemberg sends a pair of investigators to the town, who are tasked with discovering the truth. The plot of the game is inspired by a real-life incident from 1725, when a deceased Serbian farmer named Petar Blagojevic was rumored to have become a vampire. The authors mixed real events with folk legends, creating an engaging story. When it comes to mechanics, Vampire Legends is a traditional adventure game intertwined by hidden object sections. During the game, we explore static locations, converse with encountered characters, gather items, and solve logic puzzles. Additionally, we need to make decisions that influence the plot, influencing the final outcome of the story.

We play as a policeman named Vic whose nephew joins the mysterious church, so he travels to the aforementioned place to check if the boy is alright. The game is characterized by its high degree of randomness and freedom of action. A procedural generation system manages not only the shape of the locations and the placement of NPC, but also the dogmas of the titular Church, which affect the game’s plot. There are also difficult decisions to make, each with irreversible consequences.

A turn-based strategy game for mobile devices, set in the American Old West. It was developed by the Mika Mobile studio and takes the player to a land combining the Wild West with occultist ideas. Such a combination gave plenty of room to the creators, when it came to writing the scenarios and inventing the virtual weapons. The game focuses mainly on turn-based battles during which, the player can command over twenty different types of units. Contrary to the majority of similar games however, units do not last longer than through one battle here - the game places a special emphasis on winning at all costs. Later on, the player replenishes the casualties. Only the so-called Living Legends are an exception here, for the player can gradually upgrade their statistics alongside progression. Making good use of their skills, the player is capable of tipping the balance in favour of their victory more than once.

However, the game stands out with its focus on cooperation between two players assuming the roles of the detectives mentioned above. Their mutual interactions, decisions made and teamwork during interrogations all shape the course of the story and affect the final results of the investigation.
