A humorous top-down shooter created by the independent developer team at Team2Bit. The action takes place in 1986 when a mysterious organization kidnaps the leaders of the world's two main superpowers: Reagan and Gorbachev. With both the world peace and themselves being at risk, the two presidents have to put aside their differences and join forces, for only cooperation will allow them to escape and prevent a nuclear apocalypse. The gameplay mechanics are inspired by classic top-down shooters. The players’(playing either solo or in cooperation mode) task is to break through maps that are full of foes. Since the protagonists are not bulletproof, the key to success is to devise and apply an adequate strategy instead of mindlessly emptying the clips of their weapons. Reagan Gorbachev is supplemented with stealth sequences, and each level is designed in a way that allows the player(s) to complete it both the old-fashioned way and stealthily.

A mobile version of a cult-classic Polish real-time strategy released in 1996. The remake is currently in development by Home Net Games, a small team led by Miroslaw Dymek, one of the co-creators of the original game. We are introduced to Mirko, a head of a small village which has been burned to the ground by a rivaling tribe. When it comes to mechanics, we are given a classic real-time strategy inspired by the cult-classic Warcraft. As a result, the player focuses on expanding his base and combat. Both goals require extended effort, including resource gathering, constructing buildings, or recruiting military forces and leading them in battle. Interestingly enough, the game’s economy is based on milk, which can be gathered from grazing cows. Polanie Remake attempts to reintroduce the classic traits and the atmosphere of its predecessor, all the while offering detailed and high-definition visuals and a remade soundtrack.

A fantasy video game in which you play as a character of your choice, and your task varies depending on the game mode. In the expansive story mode, you complete missions, explore randomly generated dungeons, gather useful items and fight enemies. In the online multiplayer mode, you need to eliminate other players in one of the four sub-modes: Assassination, Head Hunter, Random Assassination, and Escape. During your turn, you can commit five various actions; you have two minutes for that, which calls for quick and creative thinking. To succeed, you need luck and a sense of strategy, which can help you outsmart your opponents. The Living Dungeon features very high-quality visuals — the game faithfully recreates figurines, moving around a fully-3D map. Curiously, there are two graphic styles to choose from: a dark fantasy one and a less grim one, resembling a tavern game.

A video game adaptation of a board game of the same title, set in the universe of the popular MMORPGs Wakfu and Dofus. Just like its two predecessors it was developed by the French company Ankama. The title expands on the ideas known from the original, while combining elements of a board game, tactical turn-based strategy, and RPG. Gameplay focuses on spectacular duels of the most famous warriors from both of the aforementioned games. Unlike other typical board games Krosmaster Arena lets you command a party of champions, whom you recruit gradually as you play. Each one of them has their own characteristic skills, hence the key to success lies not only in proper tactics, but also smart use of the characters, so that they complement one another on the battlefield. Gameplay is enriched by a wide selection of special cards that represent spells and items – multiplying the available tactical options even further.

A full-fledged continuation of a science-fiction turn-based strategy developed by Mode 7 Games. In its premise, Frozen Synapse 2 doesn’t differ much from what its predecessor offered, and focuses on combat using small units, emphasizing strategic planning. The main distinguishing element of the game (and the whole series) is the fact that the encounters are turn-based, but the players make their moves simultaneously, rather than alternately. This forces a completely different approach from the players, and keeps them on their toes when anticipating the next move of their enemy. In contrast to its predecessor, Frozen Synapse 2 has a much more open world, directly resulting in bigger maps, which has an utmost impact on the strategic layer of the game. The whole game is seen from a good old top-down view, and introduces a similar stern visual style, with a rather cold color palette.

Strategy, 2D, Economic, Indie Games, Singleplayer.
An economy strategy game with simulation elements created in the typical style of Kairosoft. This time around, we assume the role of an anime studio owner. The goal is to develop the company and compete against the industry giants. We do so by managing our firm well, which boils down to taking care of our employees, constantly expanding our headquarters (by, for example, equipping it with a motion capture studio), and buying state-of-the-art hardware. The beginning is tough, and a lot of time has to pass before we can hire the best cartoonists and specialists that can create top-shelf anime. We can also help ourselves by, for instance, manufacturing gadgets and cooperating with other producers. As we progress, our works become iconic and our characters become real superstars.

An original, retro-styled 2D MMO title that combines the elements of strategy, adventure, and role-playing games, created by the Ankama Games company. In the game we take on the role of a so-called Dwaala, an agent of nature, whose task is to take care of the divine Kwaan tree and to save the world by keeping it in balance. The game was designed as a unique online ecosystem, where the course of events depends on the activity and creativity of the players. While playing, we discover subsequent secrets of the game world, gathering resources, completing quests, and advancing our character. The key element is, however, to take care of the health of the eponymous tree by helping it grow its branches, summoning animals, planting saplings or fighting pollution. If the tree is doing well, our tribe can continue to develop in peace. However, if we do not satisfy its needs, it may lead even to a restart of the server, after which we will have to start from the beginning.

Action, 2D, Fantasy, Indie Games, Singleplayer, Soulslike, Top-down.
A 2D action RPG in the fantasy convention from the independent developer Daniel Wright, featuring a classic view from above. DarkMaus’ story takes place in a land inhabited by humanoid rodents and other intelligent animals. The player takes control over a lone mouse warrior, traversing the world corrupted by darkness in search of anything worth saving. Gameplay focuses on exploration and fights with various monsters, offering arcade, but relatively slow-paced battles. Players are given classic character progression system and a wide array of equipment, including many types of weapons and spells. The game presents a quite high difficulty level, with the proper choice of equipment and tactics playing crucial role, along with dodging and blocking, which are often more important than reckless offensive actions.

A cooperation-oriented top-down science-fiction shooter game, Livelock was created by Tuque Games and published by Perfect World Entertainment - the owners of the Arc platform. Simultaneously, Livelock is PWE's first ever premium product, rather than one of free-to-play games which they've released so far. The game is set in the far future, where humanity is becoming an extinct species and the Earth is ruled by the Clusters - a faction using machines gifted with digitalized, human consciousness to achieve their goals. The player takes on the role of the chosen one, who is capable of putting an end to the machines' rule and reinvigorating the human species. The game is a top-down shooter focusing on dynamic action. The player chooses from among three available characters - each has different skills and equipment, and explores the levels, eliminating armies of various enemies, differing also in their size. Livelock offers the best possible experience when played in the 3-player cooperation mode.
