The tenth expansion for the looter shooter from Bungie studio, and the second chapter of the Fata saga. The storyline in Destiny 2: Renegades was inspired by Star Wars. The add-on offers new modes, missions, gear, a brand new dungeon and a new social hub.
In July 2025, the game Destiny 2 received an expansion titled The Edge of Fate, which began a new Fate saga. The tenth add-on to this looter shooter, namely the Destiny 2: Renegades described here, is its second chapter. Interestingly, the main source of inspiration for its creators was Star Wars.
Destiny 2: Renegades is built around a story in which the main role is played by the Barant Empire and its new superweapon, the Nightfall station. The vagabond follows his trail, and the Guardians set off after him.
The pillar of the add-on is the Lawless Frontier mode, which allows us to undertake tasks on the edge of the law, which we perform for the Tharsis Syndicates. We can participate in smuggling, carry out sabotage, or become bounty hunters. The missions we carry out throw us onto three planets and six maps.
For players thirsty for additional challenges and rewards, there is an Invasion, in which other Guardians can enter their battlefields, making the gameplay more unpredictable in exchange for potentially greater benefits.
For the purposes of the add-on, a dungeon was also prepared that allows us to follow the trail of Dredgen Bael's acolytes along with Aunor Mahal. After its completion, we gain the ability to create our own Praxis Blade, saturated with light and darkness.
In Destiny 2: Renegades we will also find a previously unavailable community center named the Tharsis Post, upgrades to the Renegade's abilities (specially prepared with the Lawless Frontier module in mind), as well as weapons and equipment. Blasters were added to the arsenal and they are a new weapon archetype.
A special mention should be given to the Notoriety system, in which we build our reputation within the individual factions of the Syndicate.
Destiny 2: Renegades is a non-standalone expansion, so it requires the base version of Destiny 2.
