A solo extraction shooter with an isometric camera, which can be considered a parody of Escape from Tarkov. In Escape from Duckov we end up in a colorful world, where armed birds fight each other for precious loot. In addition to combat we can explore the world, complete quests and improve our base.
Escape from Duckov is a humorous transfer of mechanics from Escape from Tarkov to a solo game with an isometric view. This extraction looter shooter was produced by the Chinese indie studio Team Soda, creators of Soda Crisis.
We start by creating our bird hero and then carefully explore the area around the base to gather supplies. Although we encounter NPCs on our way, with whom we can talk, the most common form of contact is a bloody shootout. Death means losing loot and respawning in the hideout, but we are not deprived of the chance to return to the place of death to recover dropped equipment.
Items found on the map can be sold, converted into weapons, or used to expand the military base. We are able to equip it with medical stations, weapon racks or gyms.
Escape from Duckov is full of side quests and allows us to choose from several difficulty levels. On higher difficulties, the game introduces the fog of war mechanic, making us only see the terrain in the direction the controlled character is currently facing. A puppy can accompany us in our struggles.
Escape from Duckov runs on the Unity engine. Despite the colorful, "sweet" visual setting, the game is characterized by the brutality of the battles we fight.

Game Ratings for Escape from Duckov Video Game.
Saving Content: 3 / 5 by Scott Ellison II
Escape From Duckov has a lot of quality of life improvements I actually wish Escape from Tarkov had. The game does good at making you feel more powerful with each successful raid, despite being a cutesy and approachable extraction shooter. It attempts to be tongue-in-cheek, though doesn’t go far enough like it should to stand on its own webbed feet. There’s fun to be had and I do recommend it, but Escape From Duckov just isn’t all it’s quacked up to be.

Escape from Duckov might be a parody of Escape from Tarkov, but it's a game that's both fun to get into and stands all on its own.
Game Sandwich: 7 / 10 by John Hansen
Overall, Escape From Duckov is a game that doesn’t have any jokes aside from the fact that you’re playing as a duck, but anyone who loves extraction shooters will probably enjoy it. All of the basic mechanics are there, alongside a base building progression that feels rewarding to go through. Retreading the same locations continuously can get tiring fast, though. The single-player nature makes this an experience you can shut your mind off to more than its multiplayer predecessors, but that doesn’t mean it’s a calming experience. If you enjoy the grind, this is a game you can take flight to.
