The third main installment in the popular FPS series, Call of Duty. It is also the first game in the franchise (not counting the console spin-offs) that in the end was not released on PCs. In contrast to the previous installments, this time the game was developed by Treyarch – the authors of the console version of Call of Duty 2. The plot of the game once again takes place on various fronts of World War II. This time one can play as American, British, Canadian, and Polish soldiers.

Action canceled

After a series of spin-off productions released for the 6th-generation consoles, the popular FPS franchise comes back in a full-fledged multiplayer installment. In accordance with the title, the events of the World War II are observed through the eyes of Boyd Travers, a paratrooper of the US Army's 82nd Airborne Division.

It’s three-chapter campaign spans across the years 1942-1945, being set on Southern Pacific and the Eastern front. We observe the events from the perspectives of three soldier (two Americans and one Russian), and we get to take part in such military operations as the defense of Stalingrad or the Battle of Okinawa.

A new installment of the popular series from Pyro Studios, in which we take control of a unit of specially trained soldiers, sent to complete various tasks that help turn the tide of World War II. While developing Commandos: Strike Force, Pyro Studios decided to try a somewhat different approach, ending with a tactical action game seen from a first-person perspective instead of a classical tactical strategy game that the series has accustomed us to.

The sequel of the popular turn-based tactics game from 1998, developed by Spanish Pyro Studios. In Commandos 2: Men of Courage we take over a squad of well-trained commandos, sent to complete various missions behind enemy lines. The group now consists of a green beret, a sapper, a spy, a driver, a sniper, and a diver, with occasional appearances of Natasha, a seductress, and Whiskey, a dog, which is a completely new addition to the series.

A combination of naval simulation and real-time strategy that addresses the theme of naval battles during World War II. Thanks to this title players can see how much the war on the sea has changed over the years of World War II.

Another installment in an FPS series tracing its roots back to the PlayStation console. The Medal of Honor series of war shooters is considered to be the predecessor of the Call of Duty franchise. In Medal of Honor: Frontline, the player assumes the role of lieutenant Jimmy Patterson from the American OSS agency.

We go back to the Second World War and play the role of an American pilot, shot down while performing one of the secret missions, who has to get out of the hostile territory at any cost (the game takes place in Germany in 1944).

The action of this item was located during the Second World War, so that the user has a chance to take part in many exciting battles from that period. This console-only FPS shooter set in the realities of World War II is a sequel to the best-selling Medal of Honor series. In this part of the game, the developers from Electronic Arts focused on the fate of Corporal Frank Keegan from the American 82nd Airborne Division. Together with him and his comrades-in-arms we first land on Sicily, in order to move with the progress of military operations to the Rhine region and take part in a famous operation codenamed Varsity in March 1945.

Brothers in Arms: Earned in Blood is the next installment of a series of tactical shootouts that took place during World War II. After the big success of the first game entitled Road to Hill 30, the authors from Gearbox Software decided to continue the topic. The new program appeared on the market only a few months after the original.

Brothers in Arms is a tactical action game, which is the debut part of a special series on military themes. The product was developed by developers responsible for Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3, James Bond 007: NightFire and PeCet version of Halo: Combat Evolved. The main character is the brave sergeant Matt Baker, who actually participated in the Second World War.

Call of Duty: Finest Hour is a console version of the PC title Call of Duty that was created by Infinity Ward. It’s not a typical port but a sort of expansion that offers modified plot. The game contains six interweaving stories during which the player assumes the role of three soldiers of allied countries: USA, Great Britain and Soviet Union.

Return to Castle Wolfenstein: Operation Resurrection is a PlayStation 2 port of Return to Castle Wolfenstein. Once again the player assumes the role of B.J. Blazkowicz, an American commando who is tasked with stopping Hitler from creating an army of undead super soldiers.

An alternative version of Call of Duty 2 - a first-person shooter developed by Treyarch for PC and Xbox 360. Big Red One was created exclusively for the PlayStation 2, Xbox and GameCube consoles. Similar to the original Call of Duty 2, the story here is set during the Second World War, but focuses only on the actions of a single American infantry unit. The player assumes the role of the squad leader, who coordinates the actions of his subordinates.

The player assumes the role of Lieutenant William Holt, a commander who, together with his new squad, is selected to complete many secret special missions. He and his team can impact the outcome of four great battles that took place in France, North Africa, Stalingrad and in Ardennes.
