Crazy racing game. The action takes place in a crowded city, and we play the role of a crazy driver, for whom the streets of Chicago are the rally track. Our task is to reach the designated points and it is only up to us what route we choose and how many traffic regulations we break on the road. It is worth remembering, however, that the police will not stand idly by and watch our demonstrations.

The third installment of the racing series created by the Codemasters company, dedicated to the racing struggles of Touring Cars class vehicles. TOCA Race Driver, otherwise known as Pro Race Driver, V8 Race Driver or DTM Race Driver, makes up the next generation of rally games, which combine a highly realistic driving experience with the cinematic momentum of scenes straight from the racing track. Nevertheless, this time, apart from the British Touring Car Championship license, the production also possesses rights to other international competitions, such as the German DTM or the Australian V8 Supercars. In the game we will find 13 championships to participate in, as well as 38 legitimate racing tracks and 42 authentic cars. The visuals, alongside the applied driving model and destruction system have also been subject to subsequent improvements; the developers have also expanded the possibilities for the modification of our vehicles. The plot, which connects individual races, is a complete novelty to the series; it casts us into the role of a young driver – Ryan McKane – and it is our task to guide him through the consecutive steps in his career.

The fourth installment in a popular series of racing games, which has been developed over the years by Rockstar San Diego. In contrast to the previous Midnight Club games (the player competed in many different cities around the world), this follow-up takes the player to the titular city of angels. The developer recreated all the main districts of the metropolis, with a special emphasis placed on Hollywood. Street racing is again the core of the experience and the player is given an opportunity to control diverse cars. In the virtual garage, one will find both classic cars (above all, different versions of Ford Mustang) and modern-day rides, such as Mitsubishi Eclipse, Mazda RX-8, Saleen S7 Twin-Turbo or Lamborghini Murcielago. The available cars are accompanied by a few motorcycles, such as certain Kawasaki models. All the vehicles included can be customized, both visually and in order to improve their performances. Midnight Club: Los Angeles comes with high-quality visuals, which apply especially to polished car and bike models, as well as to diverse environment rich in detail. All of this is complemented by a day-night cycle.

A spin-off installment of the racing game series from Codemasters, which, contrary to the major installments in the franchise, puts emphasis on crazier, purely arcade, and much more spectacular gameplay. Some of its features, namely the Gymkhan mode, have already appeared in DiRT 3. In the game, we take part in a grand motorshow and compete in several game modes divided into three categories. The first one is traditional racing (Lap Attack, Eliminator, Domination), the second, the Hooningan’s challenges, involves breaking objects or performing various stunts. However, at the core of DiRT Showdown is the demolition mode where we compete in special arenas, and our task is to survive, while eliminating as many opponents as possible. Implementing new game modes, the developers took care of more spectacular damage model, thanks to which our vehicles spectacularly break apart during the competition.
