Titan Quest: Legendary Edition is the mobile edition of Titan Quest from 2006, with all DLC (Immortal Throne, Ragnarok, Atlantis) and technical improvements. Handy Games studio, part of THQ Nordic, was responsible for the development of the game.
Plot
The plot of the game has not been modified in any way compared to the original. The story is still about the fight against the mythical Titans, who have found a way to leave their prison and wreak havoc on Earth. We have to travel the world as the hero and visit places such as the Parthenon or the Hanging Gardens of Babylon to find a way to enslave them again. We learn the story mainly through conversations with NPCs, giving us information about the world and the impact the new situation has had on it.
The available add-ons take you to new areas of the world or expand some of the scenarios from the base game. In the first of these, Immortal Throne, our goal is to conquer all of Hellada. In the second, Ragnarok, we find ourselves in unexplored regions of northern Europe, in the lands of Celts and the land of Asgardian gods. The last one, Atlantis, offers a campaign, where together with an encountered traveller we go on a search for Atlandis, using the clues contained in the diary of Heracles.
Mechanics
The game mechanics have been adapted for mobile devices, but the rules have remained unchanged. The game starts with creation of our character, choosing from a variety of classes that affect the appearance, statistics and skills of the protagonist. Gameplay is mainly about fighting with dangerous monsters in a variety of locations scattered in several regions of the world, which can be additionally explored in search of loot. Depending on our preferences, we fight alone or with the support of one of the available pet companions. The whole thing is divided into main and side quests, given to us by other characters.
While making progress we gain experience points, thanks to which we develop both physical and magical abilities of our character. There is also a possibility to adjust the difficulty level to our needs, so lovers of both relaxing gameplay and the crushing challenge will find something for themselves.
Game modes
In addition to the regular campaigns, the game also lets you play through the Relentless Battle mode introduced in the Atlantis DLC, which involves endless battles against hordes of enemies.
Technical aspects
Titan Quest: Legendary Edition, in addition to the standard touch controls, also works with controllers compatible with mobile devices. In terms of graphics the game does not look as good as Titan Quest: Anniversary Edition, due to its adaptation to the lower performance of phones and tablets.
