Hogwarts Legacy: Herbology Class

Rewards for completing the quest

1. XP;
2. unlocking the Potting Table - you can grow plants also after completing the quest;
3. unlocking Chinese Chomping Cabbage - it's a tool you can use to attack opponents;
4. unlocking the Potions Class main quest.

Go to Herbology Class

You must visit the Greenhouses in The Library Annex wing. Stand in a circle to start Professor Garlick's lesson.

During the lesson take the Mandrake out of the planter - hold the pull button down and move the right knob down to replant it into a new one.

Plant dittany seeds at the Potting Table

Talk to Professor Garlick. To start a tutorial on planting seeds use a Potting Table. The first interactive table can be found in the Greenhouses, and you'll unlock your own herbal table later in the game.

Interact with the Small Planter and select the only available seed from the list - Dittany. The time counter shows how many seconds/minutes you have to wait to pick up the grown plant (in this case, it's 10 minutes). You don't have to wait that long in the quest because you'll talk to Professor Garlick right away.

Harvest a Chinese Chomping Cabbage

Go up the stairs and talk to Leander. You have to go to the other greenhouse.

You will receive a task to collect Chinese Chomping Cabbage - it's shown in the picture, and you can pick up several immediately.

Attack the target dummy with a Chomping Cabbage

A tutorial on using the Tools will be displayed. You have to hold down the Tool Wheel button (L1/LB on the gamepad). In the wheel tool, highlight Chinese Chomping Cabbage.

After closing the window, you can throw Chinese Chomping Cabbage with a single press of the tool button (L1/LB). Keep facing the dummy - it will be eaten when the tool activates.

Return to Professor Garlick to complete the quest.
