Hogwarts Legacy: In the Shadow of the Estate

Rewards for completing the quest

1. XP;
2. The High Keep story quest unlocked - another prerequisite to unlocking this quest is completing Professor Garlick's Assignment I.
3. Astronomy Class story quest unlocked.

Meet Sebastian in Feldcroft

You can initiate the quest once you're at least level 15. The village of Feldcroft is a remote location south-west of Hogwarts and the easiest way to get there is by broom. Head to the top of the structure and wait for Sebastian Swallow.

Follow Sebastian

Follow Sebastian to Swallow's house and enter it. After the cut-scene, your new objective is to meet with Anne (she is inside the hut) and Solomon. Choose any dialogue options you like - they don't affect the course or the outcome of the quest.

Talk to Sebastian again - there are a few dialogue options to choose from that comment Solomon's behavior. Follow your companion.

Defend Feldcroft

A big battle ensues in the village . Your job is to defeat a group of goblins loyal to Ranrok. Remember to juggle spells i.e. use spells that match the colors of the opponents' shields (e.g. Accio for purple, Confringo for red).

Once the Commander enters the battle, watch out for his attacks and focus all your power on him. Once the battle is concluded, talk to Sebastian.

Search the estate for clues

Clues are found at the interactive objects in areas of the minimap marked in purple. If you're having problems locating the clues, use Revelio - they will be highlighted in blue.

In the first area, examine the vertical object, the pickaxe, and the weapons.

In the second area, examine the well, the vantage point (screenshot above) and the portrait.

Talk to Sebastian again. You'll encounter a barricade made of boulders (screenshot) - use Depulso to destroy it.

Explore the cellar

The way to the cellar is now unlocked. Watch out for aggressive vines that can hamstring your hero and deal damage. To keep the vines of you, activate Lumos - it will not only illuminate the area but also keep the vines away.

You can take a detour to explore the cellar fully and collect Isidora Morganach's diary pages - there are 7 of them, but this isn't mandatory.

Use Depulso to destroy the next blockade and you will discover a corridor leading to the Undercroft. Talk to Sebastian again to descend to the crypt.

Examine the note

Examine the objects that appeared on the wall - you'll find a Rune Diagram. Pick it up and show it to Sebastian. The quest concludes after the final conversation.
