Rewards for completing the quest

1. XP;
2. unlocking Professor Hecat's Assignment 1 - it's a quest from the professor and you have to complete it to learn the Incendio spell;
3. unlocking Secrets of the Restricted Section main quest.

Checking your owl post

The quest will start after completing the Welcome to Hogsmeade main quest.

Owl Post will be automatically unlocked - it's a separate tab in the menu. Messages from NPCs may appear in it and new quests related to it will automatically be unlocked in the journal. The sender of the first letter is Professor Rig.

Speak to Professor Fig

Return to the Astronomy Wing at Hogwarts. The professor is in the office adjacent to the classroom - if necessary, wait in the office (stand in the circle) and change the time of day.

Talking to the professor will allow you to complete the assignment and unlock more quests.
