Hideo Kojima Adds Fuel to Abandoned Theories; It May be Silent Hill After All

Abandoned, the mysterious game by Blue Box Game, has once again found itself the topic of rumors. This time their source was Hideo Kojima himself, whose participation in the project seems more and more certain.

We still don't know what exactly Abandoned is - a mysterious project of a small studio Blue Box Game, rumors around which have been piling up for a long time. A new Silent Hill? Another installment in the Metal Gear series? Or maybe - as Hasan Kahraman, who allegedly leads the developers, suggested - something completely different? More and more clues point to the first one. Another riddle was added today by Hideo Kojima, whose Kojima Productions is being linked with Abandoned. The legendary Japanese dev shared on Twitter a post about a book he recently read. Take note of its title.

The Murder Case of Abandoned Amusement Park. The clue here is the word "Abandoned". Did Kojima - who is not in the habit of bragging about his private lectures - come across a book with such a title by chance? Doubtful. What's more, the rabbit on the cover seems strangely similar to Robbie Rabbit - a character well known to fans of the Silent Hill series.

The timing of the tweet also seems to be no coincidence. On August 12, 2014, P.T. has appeared on the web - the demo of the canceled Silent Hills. Does anyone need any more signals? Because I don't. And the fact that the confusion surrounding Abandoned was joined by Hideo Kojima, only confirms my belief that Blue Box Game's project will go down in the history of the industry like The Phantom Pain and its references to Moby Dick. We can only hope that this cat-and-mouse game will soon come to an end, because fans are getting impatient. Abandoned is coming to PC and PS5.
