Vanishing Tweets and Cheated Composer; Abandoned Faces New Controversy

The developers of Abandoned have removed many previously published posts from Twitter. Moreover, the creator of the soundtrack of the game shared an unflattering opinion about the studio.

IN A NUTSHELL:
  • Old posts began to disappear from the profile of the creators of Abandoned;
  • According to the informant Lance McDonald, this is another sign undermining the game's existence;
  • In addition, the developers probably cheated the musician who was supposed to compose a track for the game.

Abandoned is an upcoming horror game that more and more gamers have their doubts about. The developers at Blue Box themselves are adding fuel to the fire by taking increasingly incomprehensible actions.

Not only did the developers fail to deliver on many of their promises, but they are also erasing their traces on their Twitter profile. Recently, some of the posts were removed from it.

The situation was reported by Lance McDonald. He is a content creator, known mainly for discovering secrets in videogames, among others by digging into their files. Thanks to him the world learned about the final easter egg from NieR: Automata.

Now he's turned his attention to the actions of the developers at Blue Box Game Studios. He noted that they have removed some of the posts that could previously be found on their Twitter account.

These posts referred, among others, to further plans regarding Abandoned. Some were also related to unfulfilled promises and attempts to explain difficulties.

McDonald pointed to posts in which the developers explained the source of problems of the mobile app meant to be a hub for presenting more game footage.

According to Lance, these actions are further evidence that Abandoned does not even exist. The game could be just a hoax driven by theories about Hideo Kojima's involvement in the project.

However, this is not the only interesting information about Blue Box Game Studios, which recently appeared in the web. It also turns out that developers probably cheated the musician who was supposed to compose a track for the game.

We are talking about a Twitter user known as I'M CHRIS. Privately, he is the vocalist of the band The Eyes Inside.

In response to McDonald's posts he revealed that the creators of Abandoned offered him to create a song that would appear in the game, and perhaps also in its trailer.

The musician spent over 50 hours working on the song, but did not receive payment. Contact with the studio was limited to constant excuses from the developers. They repeatedly informed the artist about further delays and assured him that with time he will receive his payment.

However, this situation has lasted since August 2021 and there is nothing to indicate that it should change. The Eyes Inside vocalist admitted that he does not know what he should do about it. The developers themselves, on the other hand, have not responded to these allegations.

This controversy obviously does not do Blue Box Game Studios any good. The possible next statements of the creators about Abandoned should be approached with great caution.
