Excellent Dark City Builder Against the Storm With 100 Improvements
The dark city builder Against the Storm has received a major update called Logistics and Balance. The game got a lot of new content and fixes that the community was expecting.
Eremite Games has released a major update for Against the Storm - a dark fantasy city builder, enriched with roguelike elements. The patch, called Logistics and Balance, introduced exactly 98 changes regarding management and gameplay balance.
Together with the fixes implemented as part of hotfix 0.60.2 the list counts more than 100 items. You can check it on this page. In turn, I have listed some highlights below.
- Added 4 new cornerstones, 3 Forest Secrets, 2 "perks" and 2 Burning City upgrades.
- Adjusted the falling out of cornerstones so that those that provide big bonuses at the beginning of the game will appear more often at this stage of play.
- The transportation system has been redesigned - independent stations have been replaced by experts who are assigned to individual depots.
- The interface has been streamlined, improving its clarity and adding new options, such as the ability to set a lower limit on the resources stored in warehouses so that workers can't use them up completely.
It is worth noting that a large part of the introduced changes was dictated by suggestions from the community. This fact speaks well of the developer and shows results - Against the Storm has "overwhelmingly positive" reviews on Steam (the favorable ones account for 95% of the more than 14,000 issued).
Unfortunately, we still do not know when the city builder in question will leave early access. Recall that the release of version 1.0 was supposed to take place in 2023. However, given that October has already begun, it can be expected to be delayed to 2024. Although who knows - after all, the developers have already ticked off most of the points from their roadmap.
