CI Games' latest financial report provided some interesting information on the condition and projects under the wings of the publisher.

According to the data the Polish company ended the first half of 2023 in the red, recording a net loss of PLN 4 million (a bit under $1M). What's more, the group's revenue decreased by 27% - from PLN 30.5 million to PLN 22.2 million - compared to the same period in 2022.

  1. CI Games' financial report for the period between January 1, 2023 and June 30, 2023

This is not particularly surprising, given that CI Games did not release any new games in the first months of 2023. At the same time, it was said to have allocated significant resources to marketing and development of the team working on the publisher's biggest title - Lords of The Fallen, which will debut on October 12.

What's most interesting from the perspective of gamers, however, is the bittersweet information contained in the report regarding two CI Games projects.

  1. Not the best information concerns Project: Survive, the upcoming "big IP" developed on Unreal Engine 5, which is apparently not doing well. The still undisclosed title was initially being developed by Batfield Studio, but in mid-August this year CI Games terminated the contract, outsourcing its development to an in-house team.
  2. The consolation for the Polish company is that sales of the mid-budget game Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 exceeded 1.5 million units sold in July 2023 and this just over two years after its release (last May we wrote about sales of one million copies). For some time, however, the next installment of the series has been in development.

It is worth mentioning that CI Games' publishing plans also include a tactical "live-service" shooter listed in the report under the working title Project: Scorpio, which is also being developed on the UE5 engine and is headed for PC and "latest generation" consoles. More information about it can be found here.
