Against the Storm - attack the trader explained

In this article we will tell you what will happen if you attack the trader in Against the Storm. This game is a new strategy in which you have to face a mysterious storm.

Against the Storm was released on November 1. It launched in the form of early access. However, there's no denying that it caught the interest of many players right away. Getting to know this production, fans will sooner or later come across one mechanic - attack the trader. In this article we will talk about its consequences.

Attack the trader – how to do it and benefits

If you build a trading post, you will be able to welcome merchants in your settlement. They will appear from time to time and offer their goods, building blueprints or perks. Everything costs money, of course, unless you decide to attack the trader.

To do this, just select the sword hand in the lower right corner of the trade tab (it will open when you select the appropriate menu or press trading post). This will put a sizable portion of the trader's goods in your possession (about 50%). Be careful, however, as this will affect the rest of the game.

Attack the trader – consequences

If you decide to attack a trader, you must expect severe consequences:

  1. Queen’s Wrath – Significant increase in Queen's Impatience, if it fills, the end of the game will follow.
  2. Villagers – you must expect to lose a few settlers.
  3. Infamous Viceroy – traders arrival time is longer.
  4. Bad reputation – wealthier traders will avoid your settlement.

Because of the above consequences, in most cases it does not really pay to attack traders. Do it only if you really have no other choice.
