Age of Empires 4 Players Can Expect 'Biggest Expansion Ever'

One of the biggest surprises of the Gamescom Opening Night Live 2023 was the release of Age of Empires IV: Anniversary Edition on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S consoles. During the show, a trailer for the port was shown and it was immediately revealed, that it had just made its debut on the market. It turns out that this was not the only attraction that was prepared for fans of the game at the fair in Cologne.

1. Christopher Rubyor from World's Edge (studio which, together with Relic Entertainment, developed AoE4) announced, that work is underway on the first DLC for Age of Empires IV.
2. It is expected to be the largest DLC ever released for a game in the series.
3. The DLC is titled The Sultans Ascend and, true to its name, it will focus on introducing elements related to Middle Eastern civilizations into the game.
4. Unfortunately, for now we do not know the release date of the DLC. The developers have also not revealed any other specifics about its content, although they have promised that this will change soon.

Recall that Age of Empires IV debuted on October 28, 2021 on PC. The port for Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S consoles was released on August 22, this year. On both platforms, the game is also available as part of Game Pass.
