American Truck Simulator Update 1.37 Will Enable Us to Leave the Cab

The devs of American Truck Simulator have released a new update for the game, numbered 1.37. In addition to the ability to walk around our truck, the patch also offers a completely redesigned sound effects system and many other minor fixes.

SCS Software announced that it has released the latest update to American Truck Simulator. The patch number 1.37 introduces a number of new features. The most interesting of them will certainly be the opportunity to leave the driver's cab and watch the truck standing on our virtual legs. Unfortunately, for now this option is only available in the new version of the garage, so we can forget about walking tours on American roads. According to the devs, this feature will enable the players to appreciate the appearance of the truck models, as well as, for example, to better match the colors of individual elements of the chassis.

Much greater influence on the game will have the new sound system. It will enable the players to hear improved engine, car and ambient sounds, and experience new effects such as reverberation in tunnels. The devs have also implemented a new sound system for passing vehicles, simulating the Doppler effect. Along with the changes, the number of available audio options in the title's configuration menu has also been expanded.

What's more, the patch introduces a new type of semi-trailer with a feed tanker, a few additional steering wheels (only for the owners of Steering Creations Pack DLC), as well as the possibility of lowering the windows in the driver's cab. Additionally, the developer will offer support for Asus Aura devices (keyboards, mice and illuminated gamepads). The title will use LEDs installed in them in a special way. Details about this functionality are to be presented soon.
