Not every game needs to have an elaborate storyline or belong to a major universe to get an adaptation. Among Us has also caught the attention of the film industry, and the game's developers from Innersloth have teamed up with CBS Studios. And so there will be an animated series that will depict the events on the spaceship and the attempt to stop the Impostor from sabotaging the space journey (via Variety).

In Among Us we play the role of the crew of a spaceship. One player is given the role of the said Impostor. He is the only one who knows that he is the said character, and his task is to eliminate the other players while maintaining anonymity. Players can vote on who they think is the enemy, and the person thus chosen is thrown into space. The game ends when they eliminate the Impostor or when the latter achieves its goal.

The show will be made by Titmouse, studio whose credits include Nickelodeon's Avatar: The Last Airbender. The role of executive producer fell to Owen Dennis, who was previously responsible for Infinity Train. On Rotten Tomatoes the animated show received 100% positive reviews from critics and 93% from viewers. This may suggest that Among Us is in good hands.

Work on the series is at an early stage, and it is unclear what television or streaming platform the adaptation will go to. Discussions on the subject will be held soon, so in a few months we may not only get the first trailer, but also know the answer to where fans will watch the series.
