Leak: Assassin's Creed Valhalla - Mythology and Magic in Next DLC

The third DLC for Assassin's Creed: Valhalla may return to the mythological themes known from expansions to previous installments.

We've known for a long time that Ubisoft wouldn't be ending the development of Assassin's Creed Valhalla with the Paris DLC released in August. However, there was uncertainty about the details of future expansions. French youtuber j0nathan has revealed some of the secrets, sharing new findings from the game's files, regarding the next DLC. You can watch the footage in French below.

While j0nathan was able to dig up the achievements of the third expansion, he also found a reference to the title. It looks like the expansion will officially be called Assassin's Creed Valhalla - Dawn of Ragnarök. What's interesting, the setting may not be (only) the fiery land of Muspelheim (which may be a mirror image of Africa), but Svartalfheim - the home of the dwarves. The realm was apparently invaded by unknown enemies because one of the achievements mentions the liberation of all regions of Svartalfheim.

The trophies also give an idea of the new powers that Eivor will use. These will include teleportation and flying, as well as a handful of ice spells and resurrection of fallen enemies. So it seems that after the relatively historical realities of the two expansions in Dawn of Ragnarök will return to a more mythological convention, as was the case in the expansions for the previous two Assassin's Creed installments.

We recommend that you do not take this and other unofficial information as facts, at least until we get confirmation from the developers. So far Ubisoft has not revealed anything more about the further development of AC Valhalla beyond what was shown as part of the May teaser. This means for now there's no use guessing if and when we'll explore Svartalfheim.
