Players have noticed that Battlefield 6's color scheme is the opposite of Battlefield 2042's. In their view, the devs want to distance themselves from the poorly received installment of the FPS series in this way.
EA DICE, by releasing Battlefield 6, apparently wants to completely distance itself from the poorly received Battlefield 2042. Such is the opinion of players who noticed that even the color scheme of the latest installment is the opposite of the previous one.
This fact was pointed out by 3dDungeonMaster on Reddit. He noticed that the main color of Battlefield 6 - orange - is almost on the opposite side of the color palette compared to the leading color of Battlefield 2042 - cyan. He thinks it's not a coincidence, but a deliberate move by EA DICE.
I don't believe it's accidental that the branding for the upcoming game is an almost perfect 180 from the branding used for [BF] 2042. Whether it's an indication that the game is genuinely trying as hard as it can to be better doesn't really matter, clearly the marketing department want consumers to subconsciously separate the two as much as possible. Personally, I take it as a sign of good faith.
In response, the players comment that it is an interesting theory and there may indeed be something to it. Several people are also joking that the change has been good for the game, because the previous color now reminds them of something terrible.
Yeah, I associate the color scheme of 2042 with "awful" so this is actually a good choice.
Cyan was my favorite color, I hated 2042 so much that it made my favorite color into my trauma.
It looks like Battlefield 6 is trying to distance itself not only from Battlefield 2042, but also from the rival series Call of Duty, at least when it comes to skins. A few days ago, the rewards for participating in the open beta tests were leaked online. This gave us a sneak peek at the first skins, which seem to focus on a relatively realistic and war-themed style. However, as always, not everyone is a fan of them. Now one of the developers has confirmed this (via CharlieINTEL).
The thing we can say, we are a military shooter in modern times.
In this case, however, the players remain skeptical. They will only believe the creators' words when they see the state of the game sometime after the release. Fans fear that EA DICE may now be attracting players with sweet-sounding promises, and then try to maximize profits with colorful skins straight from Fortnite and the latest CoD.
We will see how these words will age. Remember about Battlefield 5.
As soon as I see Nicki Minaj running around the map with an M16 in her hand, I'm quitting.
Battlefield 6 will be released on October 10th on PC, PS5, and XSX/S. Yesterday, there was a multiplayer mode showcase where lots of new game details were revealed.
