Battlefield 7 with official release window. EA wants „the biggest Battlefield ever”
The new Battlefield is expected to be the biggest BF ever created by Electronic Arts.

The next Battlefield will be released before April 1, 2026, Electronic Arts assures in its latest financial summary.
The company joined many other publishers who have already presented their reports for the past year or fiscal quarter. For EA, it aligned with forecasts, although the less optimistic ones. In the third quarter of the fiscal year 2025, the company's net revenue was 1.88 billion dollars (a decrease compared to 1.95 billion dollars a year ago) after Dragon Age: The Veilguard and EA Sports FC 25 didn't meet expectations.
Nonetheless, the report contained an interesting statement regarding the company's financial situation:
Today, we announced plans for a $1 billion accelerated share repurchase, which is expected to bring total stock repurchases to $2.5 billion within the first year of our $5 billion authorization. This reflects both our confidence in EA’s long-term strategy and our ability to balance investment in growth with capital returns.
EA wants the "biggest" Battlefield in history
Of course, the company shared not only strictly financial data but also highlighted the most important events from the past quarter and discussed forecasts for the coming months. This included a reminder about the Battlefield Labs test platform, a new EA initiative ahead of the "anticipated release" of the next Battlefield in the fiscal year 2026 (from April 1, 2025, to March 31, 2026).
The latest installments of Battlefield launched in the fall, so October or November can be indicated as the probable month of the release of the seventh installment of the series, although nothing is certain. For now, players have eagerly started trying to join the tests of this title, which - as some fans hope - will allow them to avoid the disappointment that was Battlefield 2042.
For now, Andrew Wilson, CEO of Electronic Arts, assures that the next Battlefield will be the biggest one ever "created" by EA (at least in terms of scale and depth of gameplay; via PCGamer).
We've invested more in this Battlefield than any Battlefield before. We have four studios. We've had a meaningful amount of time. We're looking for this to be the biggest Battlefield we've ever made.
There is some trepidation amongst the core community as to what this Battlefield will be.
Battlefield is this incredible franchise, at unbelievable scale, with destruction and vehicles and all kinds of things, and is much loved in the community. The last two iterations of Battlefield have not resonated as strongly and have been found wanting by meaningful parts of the community globally.
And so we do appreciate and understand that there is some trepidation there, and this development team, the biggest development team we've ever had, is committed to working very closely with our players to ensure that they understand what we're doing, that they feed into the tuning and balancing at scale of this game.
