Warzone 2 with Season 01 for COD MW2 are here, and you can paratroop onto the huge Al Mazrah map, fight for loadouts and survive the gulag. Warzone 2 update resets all your progress, too, so you will not be able to take your Warzone 1 weapons to the new game. That's why, in this quick loadout guide to Warzone 2, we will recommend weapons that will be suitable for each situation in Warzone 2 – we explain how to unlock them and which accessories are the best before Warzone 2 launches – and after! Remember that to play your favorite weapon, you need to get a loadout, and the rules for earning loadouts in Warzone 2 have changed – you can find out how to get them exactly in our guide: How to Get Loadout in Warzone 2? Everything explained.
COD MW2 brings back a lot of weapons known from older games in the series (although with changed names), and if you own this game, you could level them up and prepare for the launch of Warzone 2. While Warzone 2's meta is still difficult to discuss (it will crystallize about 3-4 days after the game launches), there are some weapons that just always work well.
A close-range killer that spits bullets at the speed of light. Small and monstrously fast – Fenec 45 will help you win most of close-quarters encounters against assault rifles or LMGs.
How to unlock: Fenec 45 will be unlocked by reaching level 38 in Military Ranks

The Lachmann Sub is an iconic weapon in the COD series, originally called MP5. It is reliable, fast and deadly at close range – even when shooting from the hip.
How to unlock: Lachmann Sub can be unlocked by ranking up Lachmann-762 to level 12, or Lachmann-556 to level 11.
Best Lachmann Sub attachments:
The Kastov 762 is a well-known and popular weapon that you may know from the real world as AK-47. In almost every game, AK is a reliable choice, and the same goes for COD MW2 and Warzone 2. It's just a versatile, all-round great rifle.
How to unlock: Kastov 762 is unlocked after ranking up to level 23 in military ranks.
Best Kastov 762 attachments:
The TAQ-56 is a weapon the COD MW2 and Warzone 2 version of the well-known American FN SCAR-L rifle. From the very beginning of COD MW2, it seemed a little OP, which is why we list it here.
How to unlock: TAQ 56 is unlocked after ranking up to level 19 in military ranks.
Best TAQ 56 attachments:
This is not only one of the fastest sniper rifles in the game, it's also one-shot-one-kill. In COD MW2, sniper rifles are very powerful – on the large Warzone 2 map, Al Mazrah, they will reign supreme on long distances.
How to unlock: rank up LA-B 330.
Best SP-X 80 attachments:
The RAAL MG is an LMG – a powerful firearm with extended range (at the cost of mobility). In Warzone 2 – taking into account the size of the map – the LMGs will definitely come in handy, especially if you don't like or don't want to play with snipers.
How to unlock: Reach level 25 in military ranks.
Best RAAL MG attachments:
Warzone 2 is a battle royale that takes place on a huge map. You will be fighting over both long and short distances, so it's worth preparing for any possibility. At the beginning, we recommend carrying a mid-range + long-range weapon, or an SMG + a long-range weapon. For example, you can carry a sniper rifle and an SMG, or a sniper rifle and an assault rifle.
But remember that while the meta for Warzone 2 doesn't exist yet, it all depends on what you like to play – if any of the above weapons do not suit you for some reason, don't bother and change to something that feels right.
Of course, remember that your ultimate best Warzone loadout includes both good lethal equipment (such as semtex or drill) and some tactical equipment (eg. stun grenades or drill charges, which will be useful for storming houses with campers).
