The first patch for Cyberpunk 2077 after its 2.0 release has arrived for our consoles and PC. As expected, it focuses on bugfixes for both the main game as well as its Phantom Liberty DLC. Marked with number 2.01, it solves many pressing issues that often had game breaking effects like not progressing quests and other, similar problems. As most of the patches for any software, it fixes several bugs just to introduce different. If you experienced issues with imprint where “You can’t do that right now” message appears, you are not the only one. We have collected useful information that can help you out in this situation.

Imprint bug fix in Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty

There are reports from players who already devoted some time to progressing the Phantom Liberty DLC, that after using an imprint, an item that lets you impersonate other characters, they are unable to open a map, inventory, phone, etc. as message "You can't do that right now" appears. This happens after activating the imprint in a mission called Run This Town, where you are asked by Mr. Hands to guise yourself as Aguilar.

The solution to this problem is surprisingly simple. All you have to do is to restart the game or exit to main menu and load your save file. Even if not very problematic, it is still a nuisance that shouldn’t happen.

The fix above should help you, but so far there is no permanent remedy to this issue. As always, we can only wait for CD Projekt RED to address this bug from their side in the next patch that we will most probably see sooner than later. Let’s hope that it will fix more issues than introducing new ones.
