Dead Island 2 Delayed

Those who were hoping to start the next Dead Island adventure in February 2023 must swallow a bitter pill. The game's developers have announced that the title will not debut on the previously scheduled date.

Recently, the word "delay" has often troubled the gaming industry. Unfortunately, also Dead Island 2 failed to come unscathed. The game's official profile on Twitter posted an information that the work of Deep Silver and Dumbuster Studios will not debut - as previously assumed - on February 3, 2023.

Fortunately, the new release date is not too far off. The second part of the action game starring zombies will appear on store shelves on April 28, next year..

The reason for the delay is, of course, the desire to polish the title in order to provide players with the most polished product possible. The developers also pointed out that fans have no reason to worry, as work on the project is already on the final stretch.

"We see the irony present in this delay and are as disappointed as any fan. However, the delay is only 12 short weeks, and the work is already on the final stretch. We will take this extra time to make sure we deliver a title we will be proud of," the message reads.

Interestingly, the developers also have good news for us. According to the information provided, on December 6 there will be a stream dedicated to Dead Island 2. During the broadcast, fans will be able to watch a new trailer, as well as some gameplay fragments. The event will be covered on Twitch and YouTube.

Finally, it is worth mentioning that Dead Island 2 is heading to PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
