GoW Ragnarok Devs Have a Vague Idea of What They're Up to Next

Developers from Santa Monica Studio have revealed the team's future plans. Their statements, however, lack any details.

Developers from Santa Monica Studio recently gave an interview to L.A. Times, in which statements were made about the team's future plans. However, they are very perfunctory - they only emphasized that they are currently working "on a few different things."

The quote above comes from Cory Barlog, acting producer of God of War: Ragnarok, which was released a week ago. There is no denying that not too much is clear from it. We can only infer that Santa Monica Studio is working on more than one project - which could mean that it has not embarked on the work on another big AAA title.

Most likely, however, not enough time has passed since the release of Ragnarok, for the developers to be sure of their next moves. Indeed, Eric Williams, that is, the director of the above title, added quickly after Barlog that working only on the development of the God of War brand would not be a bad thing. So there is a chance that a decision will still be made and proceed with the preparation of its next installment. However, we will probably have to wait a long time for the clarification.

God of War: Ragnarok debuted on November 9 on PS4 and PS5. The game was met with an extremely warm reception - the average rating of the PlayStation 5 version on Metacritic is 94%.
