Exorcist Game Demonologist Goes Big on Steam

Last week marked the release of Demonologist on Steam's Early Access - a co-op survival horror game by Clock Wizard Games. Our task in the game is to inspect a haunted place and then exorcise the ghost.

Demonologist - brother of Phasmophobia

In terms of gameplay Demonologist resembles another Early Access hit from more than two years ago - Phasmophobia. The aim of the game is to investigate a haunted place: proper preparation, recognition of the ghost and expelling it with the help of exorcism.

1. A set of tools, including a flashlight (ordinary and with UV light), a crucifix or an EMF reader for detecting paranormal phenomena, is used to deal with the unholy forces.
2. During the task, you should be prepared for anything, as random events can occur in the game, which can significantly affect your plans.
3. Driving out ghosts can be done solo or in up to four-player co-op.

Demonologist debuten in Early Access on Steam last week and is collecting very good ratings - currently 91% of player reviews of the game are positive. Among the comments from people who have tried the game, there are many statements that Demonologist is a better, more content-rich version of Phasmophobia.

This is also confirmed by the growing number of active players - at most Demonologist attracted nearly 8,000 simultaneous players on Steam (via Steam DB).

• Operating system: Windows 10, 64-bit
• Processor: Intel i7 or AMD equivalent (AMD FX 9500 series )
• RAM: 16 GB
• Graphics card: NVIDIA GTX 1660S 6GB or better
• DirectX: Version 12
• Disk space: 14GB of available space

Until then Demonologist remains in Steam's Early Access. The game is scheduled for full release in September 2023, exclusively on PC.
