Diablo 4 Will Let Us Skip the Campaign on One Condition

Blizzard Entertainment has confirmed that Diablo 4 will feature an option to skip the campaign, although it won't be available from the start.

In one of the videos from Diablo 4 fans noticed a "Skip Campaign" option. Now the developers have explained how it will work.

  1. The skip campaign function will appear only after completing the campaign once.
  2. The option was introduced so that players, when creating a new character, do not have to go through the story again if they do not feel like it.
  3. Taking advantage of this feature will unlock for us all the elements blocked by campaign progress. Optional side missions, on the other hand, will remain intact.
  4. The game will offer many facilities before jumping into the endgame with our character. Among other things, players will be able to experiment with different classes on alternate accounts and replay favorite parts of the campaign.
  5. The full version of the game will also feature an option to skip cutscenes.
  6. Blizzard also confirmed that we will be able to use mounts in the game, but this option will also be made available only after completing a specific thread in the campaign.

Adding the option to skip the campaign is a good idea. Diablo IV is a game that many people will play for a decade, so going through the main storyline with every character would be tedious. Of course, repeating some of its missions will also be useful for gaining XP or valuable items, so Blizzard's solution, offering full freedom in this regard, will prove very convenient.

Release of the full version of Diablo 4 will take place on June 6, 2023. The game will debut simultaneously on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. It is worth mentioning that in mid-May further open tests will be held.
