Studio Don't Nod unveiled Harmony: The Fall of Reverie, in which we will decide the fate of humanity within a „unique narrative experience.”.
Don't Nod has revealed one of the many projects currently under development. Harmony: The Fall of Reverie will make its debut in June on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch.
The French developer presents the game as a "unique narrative experience." In Harmony we will play as Polly, a girl gifted with clairvoyance and searching for her missing mother. The heroine will have to use her gift to restore balance between the worlds of humans and gods. In the process, she will face a powerful corporation.
Polly's gift will be presented in the form of a board with paths connected by decisions that the heroine will make during the game. Some will be inaccessible until we unlock them with the help of special crystals. These will be acquired through interactions with Aspirations - characters symbolizing humanity's aspirations, such as Glory, Truth and Chaos - which we will meet while sleeping as Harmony, Polly's divine incarnation.
Aspirations will be important insofar as relationships with these gods will influence the shape of the real world. Each of them has it's own goals, personality and views on how the fate of humanity should turn out. It will only be up to Polly (and the player) whose opinion will prevail.

In practice, this means that the story of Harmony: The Fall of Reverie can unfold in many ways, which will encourage multiple playthroughs. The whole thing will be complemented by two-dimensional visuals and music composed by Lena Raine (Celeste, Minecraft, Deltarune: Chapter 2).
