DualSense With Significantly Stronger Battery Than DualShock

A new photo of the DualSense controller for PlayStation 5 has been released online, showing a battery capacity of 1560mAh. By comparison, DualShock 4 offers about 1000 mAh.

How's DualSense going to work out in game?

Although there is still some time left before the launch of PlayStation 5, first users have already had the chance to see for themselves how its DualSense controller is performing. Some people have not missed the opportunity to share their photos online. One such person is Twitter user Galaxy666. The photos he published show that the battery capacity of Sony's latest gamepad is 1560 mAh. For comparison, in the case of DualShock 4 for PlayStation 4 this number is about 1000 mAh (via Push Square and ResetEra).

There is therefore a chance that last week's reports that DualSense is expected to run on battery 3 to 4 hours longer than DualShock 4 are true. However, it is important to note that the controller for PlayStation 5 will be more technically advanced than its predecessor (for example, vibrations will enable us to feel the raindrops), which will probably require more power as a result. The battery lifetime provided by rumors may therefore be slightly overstated. But how does the reality look like? We will find out about it only after the release of the console.
