Near Future of Dune: Spice Wars Includes New Faction and Much More

Dune: Spice Wars will receive several new features in the coming months, including another faction and a multiplayer mode.

The latest update for Dune: Spice Wars brought a lot of new stuff to this strategy game. Of course, there's more. Shiro Games has revealed plans for the game's development. In an entry on Steam, the devs posted the infographic presented below, showing the new features planned for the summer and beyond.

The creators make it clear: current priority is to add the multiplayer mode. This will enable four players to play together, who will be able to cooperate or compete in head-to-head battles.

Right after that the developer wants to add a new faction with an additional victory condition. For now, nothing more has been revealed about any of these elements. Later on, iconic heroes known from Frank Herbert's books will also be added to the game as heroic characters or spies.

Speaking of which, the Air & Sand update will introduce new units, as well as buildings and "tactical elements" not yet present in the game.

That's not all. The developer has stressed that the above list does not include every new feature planned for future updates. The devs also encourage you to report any bugs found in Dune: Spice Wars to help develop the game in early access.
