The information was revealed on Twitter by the UK branch of Xbox. It also published a short video, in which the actor encourages players to attend the event. He will also be a part of the event, which is a very interesting move, taking into account his caree path. In 2001, he was hardly such recognizable person as today (outside the U.S., of course). At that time he was just starting his acting career - now he is one of the biggest show-biz stars.
Interestingly, the short footage suggests that Xbox will be working not only with Johnson, but also Netflix to celebrate its birthday. The video reveals that the event will be linked to the promotion action of Red Note, in which Johnson plays one of the main roles. So, it is possible that other stars connected with the movie will appear during the transmission.
