Dying Light 2 has Gone Gold

Dying Light 2 has gone gold. Thus, the Polish developer finished work on the game after many years.

Dying Light 2 has officially left the list of games remaining in development hell. Techland has confirmed that the game has gone gold, and thus the completion of work on it. Disc of Dying Light's sequel has been sent to the pressing plant and thus the game's release date is virtually confirmed.

Of course, you can point to one example or another of a title that didn't feel like it was finished in time for the release or - to make things funnier - was delayed after it was announced, that the game has gone gold. Anyway, Techland points out that the team will spend the remaining months leading up to launch "making sure we deliver the best experience possible," end quote. (read: further refining the title). Nevertheless, it's fair to say that the wait for the second Dying Light is almost over.

Dying Light 2 will be released on February 4, 2022 on PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch (in the latter case only via streaming).
