Patch 1.2 for Dying Light 2 is now available. The update should appeal to owners of older PCs and those looking for night time challenges and... more brutal combat.
Dying Light 2 has received a new patch as part of a major update. Patch 1.2 brought with it quite a few changes, which the developers discussed on the game's official website.
Techland took on, among other things, the problems of "progress lock", making it impossible to complete certain story tasks alone and/or co-op. This refers to the so-called deathloops, which were partially removed back in February.
However, only now the developers assured that all such bugs in Dying Light 2 have been eliminated.
More for You:
The developers have improved a lot in gameplay, including many elements pointed out by the players. Such as the last boss in Dying Light 2, which has been slightly modified, mainly in terms of co-op (the presence of another player could result in deaths), but also by improving the game's pace and difficulty level.
Patch 1.2 also introduced a number of technical fixes for Dying Light 2. This includes the addition of ready-made high-performance settings, which should enable us to play on older computers and laptops. The developers have also improved the overall stability and performance, thanks to which DL2 will perform better than before.
On the subject of visuals, we cannot forget about the add-on with a very telling name Brutality Pack. This pack introduces such "charming" options as the ability to cut off body parts of enemies like in Dead Space, new sound and visual effects when the player's attack lands (depending on its strength) and splashing the screen with blood of the attacked enemy if he/she is close to us.
The developers admit that this is not a complete list - apart from that, a lot of other bugs have been removed, physics of bodies (ragdoll) has been improved, etc. More details can be found on the game's official website.
