According toSteamSpy's estimates, in a week after the launch, players bought more than one million copies of the game (exactly 1.18 million). It is worth mentioning here that this data does not include Baldur's Gate 3 early access sales via GOG.com.
The popularity of the game can also be proved by the data presented by SteamDB. It follows that at the time of writing this news, Baldur's Gate 3 was played by over 19 thousand people. At the hottest moment of the day, however, the game attracted almost 74 thousand users.
