Fall Guys Sales on Steam Exceed 11 Million Copies
Mediatonic has reasons of satisfaction. The team boasted that more than 11 million copies of Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout have already been sold on Steam alone.
The British studio Mediatonic is celebrating its fifteenth birthday. On this occasion, the developers summed up their achievements so far and we learned that the sales of Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout on PC exceeded 11 million copies.
The game was released on August 4, this year. In less than a month, it found 7 million buyers on Steam, and by the end of September, the number had increased to 10 million. The hype associated with this title has slightly dropped, but the game still finds many new players.
According to Steam Charts estimates, last Sunday, at the hottest point of the day, more than 19,000 people were having fun in Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockdown . The result is a far cry from the record 172,000 players, but the title is still very popular.
As a reminder, the game is also available on PlayStation 4. Initially, it was available in PS Plus subscription and the project quickly became the most downloaded game in its history.
The success of Fall Guys means that fans can look forward to further development of the project. The next step for developers will be the third season with new content. For now we know about it only that it will have a winter theme and will be called Winter Knockout. More details will be revealed on December 11, during The Game Awards 2020 gala.
Finally, it's worth mentioning Mediatonic's other achievements. During the 15 years of its activity the studio has created over 130 games. Such a large number is due to the fact that the team specialized in small browser games for a long time. The developer started with only two employees, and currently the team employs 271 people. Fall Guys is not the company's only hit. Mobile Yahtzee with Buddies has already earned over half a billion dollars.
