Fortnite: Chapter 2 Season 5 Launches Today

On December 1, an event was held to crown the fourth season of Fortnite: Chapter 2. The event attracted a record number of players. Today, the game will receive an update introducing a lot of novelties.

Epic Games announced that the fifth season of support, titled Zero Point, will begin today in Fortnite: Chapter 2. A few hours ago, the game servers were shut down. A Twitter message said that players will be able to log in again around 10 AM CET / 1 AM PT

It is also worth mentioning the event crowning the fourth season, during which players could face the mighty Galactus (a character known from Marvel comics). The event turned out to be a huge success, attracting a record number of 15.3 million players logged in atthe same time.

The fifth season will bring a whole range of novelties. We will receive a continuation of the game's storyline - it will focus on agents (led by a one Jones) who make sure that the characters trapped in Fortnite's reality do not escape. We can also expect a guest visit from Baby Yoda and Mando from The Mandalorian.

The fifth season will introduce new areas from outside the so-called Loop, the Fortnite universe. This includes the ancient arena and the dangerous jungle, among others. Players will be able to perform various tasks for the island's inhabitants, for which they will receive gold bars. There will also be other options such as challenging NPCs to duels, treasure hunting and working as a bounty hunter (hunting down other players).

Of course there will also be new items such as the Dragon's Breath Shotgun or Mandaloran Amban sniper rifle.
