FIFA 21 Launches

This year's installment of the popular sports game series from Electronic Arts is now available on PC, PS4, XONE and Nintendo Switch. In November, next-gen console versions will be released.

The launch of FIFA 21, this year's installment of the world's most popular football game series, is here. The game debuted today on PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch consoles.

There are also plans for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S versions, which are to be released at the consoles' launch. These editions are to be very different from the game which debuted today. Unfortunately, we don't yet know exactly what improvements the devs plan to make. It should be added that FIFA 21 owners on XONE and PS4 will be able to ugrade to new-gen version for free.

Many reviews of the game have already appeared on the web. On Metacritic, the PlayStation 4 version has an average rating of 74%, the Xbox One release is rated at 79% and the PC version at 78%. The Nintendo Switch edition has received too few notes to provide any conclusions from these.

Unlike last year's installment, FIFA 21 was also released on Steam. Users of the service seem to be satisfied with the game, as 76% of their ratings are positive. The game also enjoys decent popularity. At the time of writing this news, 9.7 thousand people are playing the game. Of course, it should be remembered here that most fans of the series play on consoles.

FIFA 21 is praised for its gameplay, and criticized mainly for the aggressive FUT system and limited changes compared to FIFA 20. The latter is not only about the game mechanics. Screenshots comparing both productions show that in the case of graphics, the authors have not prepared any significant improvements. These will probably be seen only in PS5 and Xbox Series X/S releases.

Finally, it's worth mentioning that a FIFA 21 theme for PlayStation 4, released for the game's launch, may be causing trouble with the console's interface, but luckily players have already found a way to solve this particular problem.
