Final Fantasy 7 Remake Coming Simultaneously to PS4 and Xbox One?

German Xbox branch released a Final Fantasy VII Remake trailer by mistake, along with the date of the game's launch on the Microsoft console. Interestingly, the date was the same as for the PlayStation 4 version.

So what's it gonna be? Are we gonna play on Xbox or not?

Since the first announcements Final Fantasy VII Remake has managed to change quite a bit. However, what hasn't changed is that players all over the world are waiting for the launch of the game with excitement. Although the materials available so far did not say anything about the exclusivity of the title on PlayStation 4, the Sony console logo was the only one to appear on promotional videos. This confirmed that even if the production will not be a PS4 exsclusive, the users of this platform will be the first to play the remake (as announced in 2015).

It turns out, however, that it doesn't have to be this way at all. All thanks to the post of the German branch of Xbox on Facebook. The entry included an announcement of Final Fantasy VII Remake on the Microsoft console, which also had the same release date as the version on PlayStation 4. It is worth noting that the post contained video material, which also contained a clear message about the release on Xboxm including the date. The message quickly disappeared from Facebook, but was saved and published by Twitter user. We didn't have to wait long, and Maxi Graff (responsible for the community in German Xbox branch) made a dementi in which she explains that this was a mistake by the team responsible for social media and they have nothing to announce.

It's hard to believe Maxi Graff's words, especially since new information has also appeared in the video. A mistake of the social media team is one thing, but putting concrete things on a video is something more than that. If Final Fantasy VII were to be released on Xbox One at the same time as on PS4, the lack of the logo of Microsoft's console on the trailers may be a bit surprising. Unless Microsoft was getting ready to present a "surprise" to the players. Well, if that's the case, I guess there goes the surprize.

Final Fantasy VII will go on sale on March 3, 2020. The title will be released on PlayStation 4... and maybe on Xbox One.
